Weather delay?

It's 8:41 a.m. I have arisen (as opposed to risen, which has already been done), showered and had breakfast. While in the breakfast nook everyone's cell phone went wild, even mine. I had never, ever received a weather alert on my phone, not even in Dallas! Turns out there's a Flash Flood warning until 11:30 a.m.
I went to the front desk and asked the young lady if there was a particular area of town that was prone to flooding. Her response was basically "Mister, your in Port Arthur"! Seems the town is pretty flat*. She said that any depression tends to flood but then added, with a glance out the front window, "but it's not rainIng right now so you should be okay". With that I walked back to my room and opened the curtains, only to discover that it was pouring outside.
Radar shows a large, very colorful, storm moving in off the Gulf. It extends to the bottom of the screen. The "hourly" as we call it in the weather biz calls for 100% chance of rain until about 3 - 3:30 (darn, that reminds me I was invited to a barbecue).
So my plans are, uh, fluid...
I may just stay in Port Arthur another night, listen to Janis on Pandora and chill. If it clears up I may do my museum tours today, then hit the road in the morning.

The good news is that, with the exception of tomorrow, the remainder of the "5 day" looks great. Next thing you know, I'll be complainin' 'bout the heat and humidity, just like the locals! (Speaking of the locals, what language do they speak? I was eaves dropping on the conversation at the table next to me this morning to determine what language they were talking. I never did figure it out).

* Speaking of flat - if anyone has been looking at my daily Strava posts showing where I've gone that day, it tells not only mileage but time moving and elevation (among other things). The elevation is calculated as it is during exercise runs. Every gain in elevation is added, each decline is ignored. Many of my days have shown 4,000 feet cumulative elevation or more. Ordinarily that would be a good work out but, according to Strava, it appears "a vehicle was used during part of my workout."
Yesterday I chuckled as I noted that the total elevation gain over 118.2 miles was 84 feet. That's what I do just getting the mail back home!
